"No, Joker. You’re playing the wrong game. The old game. Tonight you’re taking no hostages. Tonight I’m taking no prisoners.”
Batman Quadrilogy vs. Nolanverse -> Villains
Meécanisme de la physionomie humaine (Guillaume de Boulogne, 1862)
I see some bloggers put this up. Some seem to post it as a warning or an attempt at humor, not sure. If anyone is scared that marriage could look like this, then you probably should steer clear of it. Because marriage is not a fairy tale where nothing goes wrong. It is a work in progress, between two individuals, learning how to give and take and compromise. Couples have disagreements. Some ladies can get cranky when they get pregnant. Guys can put on a little weight. But a marriage doesn’t work because two people look svelte. Love is when you can overcome all, the good and not so good times, and still be together. Love is when she’s asking for the most outrageous thing because she’s craving, and he’ll go find it for her because she’s bringing in that beautiful baby to their world that will transform their lives forever.
